Sports at the III World Nomadic Games
Currently, the world has a huge number of sports events, for example, the Olympic Games, Asian Games, even Asian indoor games, Universiades, Spartakiad, in addition, continental and world championships in sports are held all over the world. They are united by the format of the event in the form of "poor sport" and aimed exclusively at fans and connoisseurs of certain sports. Approximately the same format competitions were held at the First and Second World Nomadic Games: sport was the first to be put in the leading place from the three directions (sport, culture, science). And if the same continues in the subsequent Games, the project "World Nomadic Games" will be lost among dozens of other sports formats and will not be interesting to the world. For example, at the Second World Nomadic Games many tourists wondered what innovations would be in the Games, what these Games are different from others.
That is why the III WNG introduces a completely different format: the first place is culture. After all, culture is a broad concept that includes traditions, customs, everyday life, as well as sports in the form of folk games and amusements. Sports competitions for the III WNG will be held in an ethnocultural form with observance of all the rituals and traditions that accompanied the competitions in these sports since ancient times. Competitions will also be held with theatrical performances and musical accompaniment of folklore groups of countries of the world, and athletes participate in them only in the national dress of their countries.
The innovation for the III WNG are contests among the great winners of national wrestling:
- The great wrestle of nomads.
In the great wrestle of the nomads, an absolute champion will be revealed without defining the second, third, etc. places on the principle: "The great winner is one, the rest are equal!" After all, in ancient times there were no scales and division into weight categories, and in the competition only one champion was defined.
The absolute champion of these competitions will be given the title:
- Great fighter.
Also, within the framework of competitions on kok-boru (polo with sheep corpse) and shooting from the traditional bow, the absolute champions will be awarded the following titles:
- Great player of kok-boru and Great horse of kok-boru;
- The great archer.
Great winners are awarded additional monetary and valuable prizes and other ethno-attributes, their names fit into the Book of the Great Winners of the World Nomadic Games. They are the honorable guests of the next Games, where they defend their titles from competitors. In case they lose or do not take part in competitions at all, they lose their titles, and the names of new Great winners are added to the Book of Great Winners of the World Nomadic Games.
Designed in a traditional and historical manner and reflecting the characteristics of the nomadic peoples of the world, the Book of Great Winners will be a chronicle of the World Nomadic Games, which will bring the achievements of the Great winners of the World Nomadic Games. Entries in the Book of Great Winners will be made in two languages: in the state language of the host country and in English. After the World Games of Nomads, the book of Great Winners will be kept in special conditions and will be shown at international exhibitions, museums, galleries, etc.
The sports program for the III WNG consists of:
- Sports competitions in which medals, diplomas, monetary and valuable prizes will be played. Competitions will be held in 37 national sports of the world. About 3,000 athletes from 80 countries are expected to participate in them.
- Show games. Each participating country can present its national sports, folk games, traditions and fun in the form of demonstration performances.
